30,600 Houses Built Under Apni Chhat Apna Ghar Programme

The Apni Chhat Apna Ghar programme continues to transform lives across Punjab. According to the latest figures from the Punjab Housing Department, 30,600 houses have been built in record time.
So far, 105,700 families have received loans under the scheme. Among them, 69,200 families have received their second installment to complete construction. The initiative, launched earlier this year by Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, aims to provide affordable homes and financial help to low-income families.

Interest-Free Loans with Flexible Terms

The Housing Department confirmed that all loans are interest-free. Borrowers can choose flexible repayment options to suit their needs. Those who repay their loans in one to three years receive a 20% concession. Meanwhile, those who repay within four to six years enjoy a 10% discount.
These incentives encourage families to complete payments earlier and take full ownership of their homes.

Growing Public Trust

A department spokesperson said the programme’s rapid progress reflects strong public trust. “The public’s confidence in the Apni Chhat Apna Ghar programme proves its success,” the spokesperson stated.
Citizens who wish to apply can easily register online by filling out a digital form on the department’s official website. This simple process ensures transparency and access for all eligible families.
As a result, the initiative stands as a model of inclusive housing development in Punjab.
