PM Shehbaz Leads Karachi Station Upgrade During One-Day Visit

PM Shehbaz visits Karachi for the Karachi station upgrade, launching new facilities to improve comfort, access, and travel services for all passengers.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif arrived in Karachi on Monday for the Karachi station upgrade. He began his one-day visit with a warm welcome from Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah. In addition, senior provincial officials joined the receiving team.
The prime minister reached Karachi Cantonment Station soon after his arrival. He started a detailed tour to review the renovated spaces. The visit created a lively atmosphere among staff and passengers.

PM Reviews Upgraded Facilities

Shehbaz Sharif explored the newly modernized areas of the historic station. He walked through the redesigned lounges and spacious waiting rooms. In addition, he inspected the improved passenger flow systems that now support easier movement.
Railways Minister Hanif Abbasi briefed him on the major upgrades. The project introduced two comfortable lounges and three upgraded waiting halls. The station now offers executive washrooms and four new escalators; therefore, passengers can move between platforms more easily.
The prime minister appreciated the team’s dedication. He also stressed the need for consistent maintenance. As a result, officials assured him of ongoing efforts to keep the station in excellent condition.

New Services Improve Passenger Experience

The management added an information desk to guide travelers. This service helps passengers find platforms, schedules, and essential services faster. In addition, trained staff offer friendly and clear assistance.
Shehbaz Sharif highlighted the importance of safe and inclusive travel. He encouraged the team to keep improving the station. The upgrades show the government’s commitment to modern public transport.
The Karachi station upgrade sets a strong example for other railway hubs. However, officials noted that continuous development will create lasting benefits. Travelers welcomed the improvements with enthusiasm.
