CM Murad Orders Faster Work on Key Karachi Road Projects

Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah inspected major Karachi road projects on Sunday and urged officials to speed up the work. He visited the Korangi Causeway, Shahrah-i-Bhutto and the Karimabad underpass. In addition, he directed all agencies to remove delays and improve coordination.
The CM toured the sites with Senior Minister Sharjeel Memon, Local Government Minister Nasir Shah and Karachi Mayor Murtaza Wahab. He focused on removing bottlenecks that slow the projects. He said people deserve smooth and safe mobility.

Rapid Work Ordered on Korangi Causeway

Murad Ali Shah began his inspection at the Korangi Causeway. Reconstruction and elevation work continue to make the road safer during seasonal flooding. However, he expressed concern over slow progress.
He said the causeway plays a vital role in connecting industrial and residential areas. Therefore, repeated closures cause massive inconvenience. He instructed the LG minister to increase manpower and machinery immediately.
The CM also stressed better coordination with traffic police. Improved diversions will reduce hardship for commuters until the route becomes fully functional.

Shahrah-i-Bhutto & Karimabad Underpass Reviewed

The CM then visited the Murghi Khana segment of Shahrah-i-Bhutto. Officials told him that 98 percent work had been completed. Only finishing touches and safety checks remain.
Murad Ali Shah urged the team to complete the corridor by December 2025 or January 2026. He ordered immediate signboard installation and landscaping. He also checked the Samo Goth elevated section and asked for faster execution.
At the Karimabad underpass, he demanded round-the-clock work. Mayor Wahab said the project had achieved 85 percent progress. The CM stressed the use of quality materials and firm timelines.
He directed KDA to send weekly reports. He said these Karachi road projects support the city’s economy and daily life. He urged all agencies to remove obstacles and deliver results quickly.
