Peshawar FC Attack: Security Forces Stop Major Tragedy

A suicide blast struck the Federal Constabulary headquarters in Peshawar on Monday. The Peshawar FC attack martyred three personnel and injured 11 people. However, security forces acted quickly and stopped the attackers from causing more harm.
The explosion hit the Saddar-side gate of the compound. Officials confirmed that three militants approached the area. One attacker blew himself up at the entrance, and two others tried to enter the compound. In addition, officers confronted them and shot both militants before they reached the parade ground.

Swift Response Prevents Major Loss

Rescue teams and police reached the scene within minutes. They shifted the injured to Lady Reading Hospital for immediate care. Doctors later confirmed that all the wounded remained in stable condition. As a result, the city administration raised security levels and sealed key entry points.
Around 450 personnel attended the morning parade when the attack occurred. However, their fast reaction blocked the militants from moving deeper into the headquarters. Authorities also launched a clearance operation to handle explosives left near the gate. Security officials said recent security reviews improved their preparedness.
Leaders across Pakistan condemned the attack. They praised the bravery and discipline of the personnel who protected hundreds of lives. Many also expressed sympathy for the families of the martyred and the injured.

Leaders Unite Against Violence

National and provincial leaders called for unity against terrorism. They stressed that collective resolve strengthens the country’s defense. In addition, they vowed to bring those involved to justice and improve security across the region. No group has claimed responsibility so far.
The Peshawar FC attack shocked the nation, yet it also highlighted the courage of security forces. Their determination saved many lives. Therefore, officials promised stronger action to prevent future threats and protect communities.
