PM Orders Transparency in Jinnah Medical Complex Development

PM Orders Transparency in Jinnah Medical Complex Development

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif renewed his commitment to the Jinnah Medical Complex during a visit to the project sites on Tuesday. He urged authorities to deliver world-class work and maintain strict transparency throughout development. In addition, he highlighted the need for full digitisation across every department linked to the projects.

Clear Directives for Faster, Smarter Progress

The prime minister inspected ongoing work on both the medical complex and Daanish University along Srinagar Highway. He noted that the government allocated 600 kanals for the medical complex and 800 kanals for the university. Moreover, he said the water-supply system must reach completion within two months.
Officials briefed him on project details and shared that experts helped prepare the PC-1. Shehbaz Sharif directed teams to protect the rights of all affected individuals and provide timely support. Therefore, he asked the Ministers for Power and Energy to personally monitor progress and remove delays.

Digitisation, Merit, and Global Standards at the Core

The prime minister urged teams to create a paperless and fully digitised environment. He said every system, from management to daily operations, must match global standards. As a result, he encouraged planners to improve horticulture and landscaping to enhance the surroundings.
He also cautioned that politics must not influence any part of the projects. Decisions, he stated, should come from merit, fairness, and honesty of purpose. Furthermore, he instructed officials to pre-qualify only reputable and credible companies for construction and operations. He added that a third party should process all project payments to improve transparency and build trust around the Jinnah Medical Complex and related initiatives.
