Kuwait City Reimagined as Cyberpunk World in Filmmaker-Gamer Project

Filmmaker Mohamed Al-Roz and gaming creator Khaled Al-Mutairi have turned Kuwait City into a futuristic cyberpunk world. Al-Roz filmed neon-lit streets at night and enhanced them with striking effects, while Al-Mutairi—better known as “Gamer Snack”—recreated the same shots inside Cyberpunk 2077. The seamless blend of real and virtual caught Nvidia’s attention, which showcased the project to highlight the capabilities of its new RTX 50 GPUs.

Using DLSS 4 and advanced ray tracing, the team achieved 4K visuals at smooth frame rates, making it difficult to tell the difference between film and game. Editing was handled through Nvidia Studio and Adobe AI tools, speeding up production and demonstrating the growing overlap between filmmaking and gaming.

Al-Roz called the work a way of “visualizing emotion beyond form,” while Al-Mutairi described it as proof of how gaming engines can inspire cinematic storytelling. Nvidia has since featured the footage as a real-world showcase for its technology.

Both creators have hinted at expanding the project into a longer film, suggesting a future where game engines and cityscapes merge to tell stories in ways previously thought impossible. For now, the collaboration stands as a striking example of how games, cinema, and technology continue to blur.
