Qatar PM Urges Inclusive Regional Dialogue for Peace

Qatar is calling for inclusive regional dialogue as a central path to long-term peace in the Middle East. The country’s prime minister, Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani, shared this view during an interview at the Doha Forum. He explained that peace efforts fail when decision-makers exclude key groups from negotiations.

Qatar Highlights Need for Inclusive Regional Dialogue

Sheikh Mohammed spoke with United States journalist Tucker Carlson on Sunday. He stressed that conversations must involve every party that influences events on the ground. As a result, he argued that ignoring non-state actors weakens any attempt to build stability.
The prime minister noted that many conflicts in the region continue because certain groups remain outside official talks. Therefore, he urged governments to move toward more open and constructive dialogue. He said effective diplomacy requires “speaking to non-state actors” to reach real and lasting solutions.

Calls for Engagement With All Parties

The prime minister addressed concerns about including groups such as Hamas in diplomatic channels. He stated that progress becomes impossible without engagement. For example, peace agreements cannot succeed if only a few sides sit at the table. In addition, he explained that communication reduces misunderstandings and supports humanitarian goals.
Sheikh Mohammed emphasised that Qatar will continue pushing for broader cooperation. He described dialogue as essential for preventing future violence. Furthermore, he highlighted the importance of building trust across the region through meaningful communication.
The discussion received widespread attention at the forum. Many participants agreed that regional conflicts require flexible thinking. They welcomed Qatar’s call for practical strategies that involve a range of voices.
Supporters believe the focus on inclusive regional dialogue could shape future peace efforts. They also hope it encourages international partners to adopt more comprehensive approaches. As conversations continue, many observers expect the topic to remain central in upcoming diplomatic discussions.
