Pakistan Shines with National Games Victories Across Multiple Sports

Pakistan athletes showed impressive energy this weekend as they added fresh National Games victories to their growing list of achievements. The day moved fast, and every arena delivered a new highlight.

Army Domination and Rising Stars

The Army enjoyed a huge surge in taekwondo and shooting. They claimed several gold medals and set an intense pace early on. Their fighters impressed in Poomsae, where both men and women secured top spots. In addition, Navy shooters pushed hard, which created exciting contests across the ranges. As a result, the two sides split several titles and thrilled the crowd with close finishes.
Sindh found its moment in women’s netball. The team defeated strong favourites Wapda with a confident 20-12 win. Their players celebrated the province’s first gold of the event, and the victory carried deep pride. The match grew heated at times, however Sindh kept their composure. Their coach urged for better facilities, noting that even a little more support could lift them further.
On the court, Army’s men outplayed Sindh in basketball. The early minutes looked balanced, yet Army pulled away once their rhythm settled. Their tall centre led the charge, and the squad used smart play to extend the lead through each quarter. Sindh pushed back with physical defence, yet Army stayed calm and finished strong.

More Action Across Karachi

Wapda’s women ruled the hockey field with an 18-0 win. Badminton also delivered exciting progress as top players guided their teams into the semi-finals. Punjab, Army, KP and Police added their own wins, keeping the brackets tight. HEC celebrated a historic fencing gold, which added fresh energy to the day.
The action returns on Monday, and teams across Karachi hope to build on these dynamic performances.
