Sindh Announces Winter Vacations for Colleges Starting December 22

Students and teachers can now prepare for the upcoming Sindh winter vacations as the provincial government confirms the official schedule. The break will start on December 22, 2025, and continue until December 31, 2025. This decision aims to give learners and staff a well-timed pause during the cold season.
The announcement came after a meeting of the Steering Committee’s Sub-Committee on November 28, 2024. Officials reviewed the academic calendar and agreed that these dates support a smooth transition into the new year. In addition, the schedule ensures that colleges can organise classes and administrative duties without disruption.

Official Notification and Examination Schedule

The Secretary to the Government of Sindh, Nadeem-ur-Rehman Memon, issued a detailed notification to formalise this decision. It clearly states that supplementary exams for HSC Part-I and Part-II will continue as planned. Therefore, students appearing in these exams should follow the timetable already provided by their respective boards.
The notification also confirms that all other examinations scheduled during the vacation period will take place without delay. This approach keeps academic progress on track and prevents any backlog for learners moving to the next stage.

Coordination With Provincial Officials

The government has shared the notification with key provincial authorities for smooth implementation. These include the Principal Secretaries to the Governor and Chief Minister, the Chief Secretary, and Directors of Colleges across Sindh. Their coordination will help colleges manage the break responsibly and keep students informed.
As a result, communities across the province can expect a well-organised winter break that supports both comfort and continuity in education.
