Exodus Sci-Fi RPG Emerges as a Bold Mass Effect Challenger

Exodus sci-fi RPG positions itself as a high-ambition narrative experience revealed at The Game Awards. Developed by Archetype Entertainment, Exodus sci-fi RPG focuses on consequence-driven storytelling, long-term character development, and a universe shaped by time dilation and player decisions.
The development team includes veterans behind iconic RPG franchises. Their combined expertise shapes a game that aims to redefine sci-fi roleplaying rather than simply follow genre conventions.

A Galaxy Shaped by Choice

Exodus sci-fi RPG places players in control of Jun, a skilled scavenger tied to the powerful Traveler order. Humanity escaped a dying Earth and now struggles to survive on Lidon while the Rot spreads across star systems, threatening all known life.
Time dilation defines the core narrative mechanic. Each off-world mission advances time on Lidon by years or decades, permanently altering civilizations, relationships, and political power structures when players return.

A Modern Narrative RPG

Archetype Entertainment designs combat to support multiple approaches, including stealth, tactical positioning, and direct confrontation. Players shape Jun’s abilities through meaningful choices that affect how challenges unfold.
Companion characters evolve independently during Jun’s absence. Their growth, losses, and shifting loyalties reinforce the emotional weight of time progression, ensuring that player decisions carry lasting narrative consequences.
