Sabalenka WTA Player Award: Aryna Dominates 2025 Tennis Season

Aryna Sabalenka has won the Sabalenka WTA Player Award for the second straight year. She held the world number one ranking throughout the season. As a result, the WTA recognized her consistency and leadership in women’s tennis.
The Belarusian star delivered an outstanding performance in 2025. For example, she successfully defended her US Open title. In addition, she reached nine tournament finals across the season.
Sabalenka collected 63 match wins and lifted four trophies. However, her success went beyond titles. She showed resilience at every major event she entered.

Records, Recognition, and Rising Stars

At the Grand Slams, Sabalenka stayed competitive. She finished runner-up at the Australian Open and Roland Garros. Meanwhile, she reached the Wimbledon semifinals, proving her all-surface strength.
Therefore, her season ended with a historic milestone. Sabalenka set a new WTA single-season prize money record. She earned over $15 million, the highest total ever recorded.
Other players also earned major honors this year. Amanda Anisimova won the Most Improved Player award. She captured her first two WTA 1000 titles in Doha and Beijing. As a result, she qualified for the

WTA Finals for the first time.
