Karachi Stadium Design Revealed With Major Upgrade Plans

The Pakistan Cricket Board has revealed the official Karachi stadium design for National Stadium Karachi. The announcement confirms a major upgrade backed by a Rs. 4 billion development plan. As a result, cricket fans can expect a modern match-day experience. The board signed a construction agreement with NESPAK for a new state-of-the-art enclosure. This move shows a clear focus on international standards. Therefore, the stadium will better serve players, broadcasters, and supporters alike.

New Design Will Offer

According to concept images, the Karachi stadium design introduces several fan-focused improvements. For example, the seating layout offers clearer views from every section. In addition, new VIP boxes will cater to corporate and premium guests.Media facilities will also receive a major upgrade. These changes will support both local and global broadcasters. Improved entry and exit routes will help spectators move safely and easily.Meanwhile, the PCB approved a second renovation phase for the stadium. This work will begin after the 2026 Pakistan Super League ends. At the same time, the board cleared an Oval-style redevelopment of Lahore’s LCCA Ground.Beyond Karachi, the PCB is expanding its vision nationwide. Plans include a brand-new international stadium in Islamabad near D-12. Its design draws inspiration from top venues in the UAE.Furthermore, Abbottabad and Muzaffarabad grounds will receive upgrades for the first time. This approach spreads quality infrastructure beyond major cities. As a result, Pakistan moves closer to a balanced and inclusive cricket venue network.
