Iran to Launch International Festival for Tourism Content Creators

Iran is launching a new international festival for digital storytellers. The International Tourism Content Festival (ITCF) will be held in February 2026. Its goal is to promote Iran’s rich cultural and historical heritage. Organizers want to showcase the country through creative video content. The festival targets artists, filmmakers, and tourism enthusiasts globally.
The event is designed by Yazd Islamic Azad University. It is organized with Iran’s Ministry of Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts. The festival will coincide with the Tehran International Tourism Exhibition. This strategic timing aims to maximize global exposure. Winners will be announced on February 14, 2026.

A Festival Focused on “Authentic Experiences”

All submitted content must follow a specific theme. The official theme is “Iran, the land of authentic experiences.” Creators must produce bilingual video content for international viewers. The videos should highlight specific aspects of Iran. Key themes include history, culture, cuisine, and nature.
Other important themes are customs, traditions, and spiritual tourism. The content must avoid commercial advertising or brand promotion. Creators will retain ownership of their work. However, the festival secretariat will hold usage rights with proper attribution.

Competition Categories and Awards

The festival has structured competition categories based on video length. Entries will compete in three time categories. These are under one minute, one to three minutes, and three to 10 minutes. Awards will be given to the top three entries in each category.
This structure means there will be nine main winners. An additional award will be presented based on public choice. A professional jury of media and tourism experts will review entries. They will select the final winners from content that gains public attention. The award ceremony will be a highlight of the tourism exhibition.
