The travel and tourism sector—which contributes over 10% of global GDP and supports roughly one in ten jobs—is at a critical crossroads. Confronted by climate imperatives, political uncertainty, and evolving traveler expectations, the industry is seeking a path that promotes both growth and sustainability. Paris will host the 6th A World for Travel Summit from October 29 to 31, 2025, bringing together global leaders for a three-day forum aimed at mapping out strategies for these challenging times.
Approximately 80 international speakers will participate. Among them, Gabriel Attal, Member of Parliament and former Prime Minister of France, will discuss Europe’s role amid geopolitical turbulence. Boston Consulting Group will deliver a keynote on the 10 Forces Reshaping Global Business that probes whether Europe can step up. Aziz Abu Sarah—entrepreneur and peacebuilder from MEJDI Tours—will speak on how tourism can help reconciliation in divided societies.
Participants will include tourism ministers, senior executives from major corporations like Accenture, BCG, IKEA, Air France/KLM, Radisson, and Trip.com Group, and trade associations such as WTTC, GBTA, FIFA, and the World Sustainable Hospitality Alliance. The broad representation underscores a multidisciplinary, global approach.
Over the course of the summit, there will be focused sessions on climate action strategies, AI’s role in reshaping visitor experiences, regenerative tourism, and sustainable luxury. A gala dinner on the Seine (by invitation only) and an award ceremony will cap the event. Christian Delom, Secretary General of A World for Travel, emphasized that true progress in tourism demands “innovation, accountability, and global cooperation.”
