One-Day Free Family Health Mela Held in Sanghar

The Population Welfare Department organized a one-day health mela. This free event served the Sanghar community. It took place at the local RHSA centre. The mela provided vital family planning services. It also offered crucial healthcare to residents.
Chief guests formally inaugurated the community camp. Civil Surgeon Dr. Aftab Azam Sirewal attended the event. District Population Welfare Officer Shahabuddin Memon was also present. Senior Medical Officer Dr. Khalida Bibi joined them for the ceremony.

A Wide Range of On-Site Medical Services

Trained staff delivered important consultations and procedures. They offered services for permanent family planning. In addition, they provided Long-Acting Reversible Contraceptives (LARC). Other standard family planning resources were available.
The mela featured essential disease screening. Staff conducted free tests for HIV/AIDS and hepatitis. Furthermore, the camp performed free minor medical procedures. Beneficiaries also received free prescribed medicines.

Education and Strategy for Community Wellbeing

Senior Medical Officer Dr. Khalida Bibi addressed families at the mela. She educated visitors about maternal and child health. She also explained various contraceptive methods. Appropriate birth spacing was another key topic.
District Officer Shahabuddin Memon highlighted a major societal challenge. He pointed to the issue of rapid population growth. As a result, these health melas are a strategic response. They follow directives from provincial leadership.
The goal is to reach underdeveloped district areas. Providing family planning is the primary focus. Healthcare for mothers and children is also critical. This initiative directly supports community health and development.
