NITB Digital Apostille System Attests 633,000 Documents Nationwide

Pakistan’s digital governance journey has reached a major milestone as the NITB Digital Apostille System has attested over 633,000 documents while serving more than 250,000 citizens nationwide. This achievement highlights how technology continues to simplify government services and reduce paperwork burdens.
The initiative, led by the National Information Technology Board (NITB), allows citizens to verify official documents online. As a result, people no longer need lengthy visits to government offices. Instead, the process now offers speed, transparency, and convenience.

Faster Verification With Global Recognition

The Digital Apostille System supports documents required for international use, including education, employment, and immigration. Therefore, citizens can now obtain globally recognized attestations without delays.
In addition, the system ensures secure authentication through modern digital verification methods. This reduces fraud risks while increasing trust in Pakistan’s official documentation process. Officials report that average processing times have dropped significantly compared to manual procedures.
Moreover, the platform supports Pakistan’s commitment to international standards under the Hague Apostille Convention, improving the country’s global standing.

Boosting Transparency and Citizen Trust

Beyond efficiency, the Digital Apostille System strengthens public confidence in government services. Citizens can track applications online, which improves accountability and reduces uncertainty. As a result, the initiative aligns with Pakistan’s broader Digital Pakistan Vision, aiming to modernize public institutions. Experts believe continued expansion of such platforms will further improve service delivery and economic mobility.
With growing adoption, NITB plans to enhance system capacity and integrate more government departments. This move will ensure even wider access in the coming years.
