Emirates Wins Big at 2026 Travel Weekly Globe Travel Awards

Emirates airline has won two major honors at a prestigious industry event. The 2026 Travel Weekly Globe Travel Awards were held in London on January 16. The Dubai-based carrier was celebrated by thousands of voting travel agents.
The airline won in the competitive Flying category. It claimed the titles of Best Long-Haul Airline and Best Premium Airline Service. This recognition follows an exceptional and record-breaking year for the company.

A Year of Major Accolades and Milestones

The latest awards add to an impressive collection. In 2025 alone, Emirates secured 25 industry accolades. This included being named Best Airline in the World for an eighth straight year.
The airline also marked its 40th anniversary with major achievements. It carried 55.6 million passengers and ordered 73 new aircraft. Furthermore, it became the world’s first Autism Certified Airline.

Industry Leaders Celebrate Excellence

The awards ceremony was a major industry gathering. Over 1,200 travel professionals attended the sell-out event at the Grosvenor Hotel. Broadcaster Jonathan Ross and Travel Weekly’s Lucy Huxley hosted the evening.
Live performances from artists like Beverley Knight entertained the crowd. The night celebrated top performers across the entire global travel sector.

Other Notable Winners at the Ceremony

Royal Caribbean Group was a standout winner in the cruise sector. It swept all three ocean cruise company awards. This covered mainstream, premium, and luxury categories.
Other winners included the Jamaica Tourist Board and Universal Orlando Resort. Wendy Wu Tours was also recognized as the Best Premium Touring Company. Therefore, the awards highlighted excellence across diverse travel segments.
