Bakhit bin Amer Al Amri, Director of Heritage and Tourism for Al Wusta, highlighted the region’s success. He credits its rise to unparalleled geographical diversity and a rich cultural heritage. To accommodate the growing interest, the governorate’s hospitality sector is expanding. There are now 23 registered hotel establishments providing over 700 hotel rooms. These are strategically distributed: 8 in the capital Haima, 8 in the economic hub of Duqm, and 6 in the coastal town of Mahout.
