Railways Minister Hanif Abbasi shared the update during media talks in late January. He confirmed that foreign ambassadors will visit the ministry soon. These meetings will highlight production capacity and product quality.
Formal contracts are still pending. However, business groups already show strong optimism. Industry leaders believe exports will boost confidence and growth.
Record Revenue Strengthens Position
Pakistan Railways recently achieved record earnings in December 2025. The department generated Rs10 billion in a single month. As a result, this became the highest monthly income in its history.
Daily revenue also touched nearly Rs300 million. Improved services and better facilities supported this growth. In addition, private partnerships increased freight efficiency.
Modernisation Drives Global Confidence
Officials credit modern factories and upgraded workshops for the progress. These improvements raised manufacturing standards across the board. Consequently, operations now run more efficiently.
The minister described this phase as a new chapter. He stressed that exports can increase foreign exchange earnings. Moreover, annual revenue may reach Rs100 billion this year.
Future agreements with foreign partners will decide timelines. If deals succeed, Pakistan Railways could become a global supplier. This shift may redefine the country’s engineering reputation.
