Pakistan Announces Ramadan 2026 Fitrana Rates Starting Rs300
The Council of Islamic Ideology has shared the updated Ramadan 2026 Fitrana rates for people across Pakistan. The council set the minimum amount at Rs300 per person. This announcement helps families plan their charitable giving before Eid.
Updated Fitrana Amounts by Food Choice
CII Chairman Dr. Raghib Hussain Naeemi explained the revised charity rates. People can calculate Fitrana based on the staple food they choose. Therefore, the payable amount changes depending on the item.
Those who select barley will pay Rs1,100 per person. The council fixed the rate for dates at Rs1,600. In addition, raisins carry a higher rate of Rs3,800.
Dried figs, also known as Maniqah, have the highest amount at Rs5,400. These options allow individuals to give according to their means and food preference. The council also considered government-subsidized flour in its calculations. For this option, the per-person Fitrana or Fidyah amount is Rs200.
Fidyah for Missed Fasts and Expiation Rules
Dr. Naeemi also shared full-month Fidyah totals for those unable to fast. Based on wheat, the amount reaches Rs9,000 for 30 days. However, barley-based Fidyah totals Rs33,000.
If someone calculates using dates, the full amount becomes Rs48,000. Raisins raise the total to Rs114,000, while dried figs increase it to Rs162,000.
For subsidized flour, the council fixed the monthly Fidyah at Rs6,000. This option supports those with limited income.
Dr. Naeemi reminded everyone that Zakat al-Fitr remains obligatory for every Muslim. It applies equally, without any difference of age or gender. He also explained the rule for intentionally breaking a fast. A person must either fast continuously for 60 days or feed 60 underprivileged individuals two meals each.
