Retro RPG Green Light Launches on Steam with 100% Positive Rating

Retro RPG Green Light Launches on Steam with 100% Positive Rating

Developer room6 releases Green Light, a top-down pixel art RPG reminiscent of Game Boy Advance classics. Green Light retro RPG currently holds a 100 percent positive rating from 16 Steam reviews. The game is set in a forgotten mining town peaceful by day but mysterious by night. Players take on the role of Midori, a hotel receptionist with shining green earrings. The town once thrived on gemstone mining but now sits quiet and boring. A strange rumor persists about townspeople sharing the same dream every night. Visitors flock to experience this amazing dream, filling the hotel daily. Midori’s curiosity leads her to discover the secret behind the phenomenon.

A Love Letter to Classic Zelda

The game utilizes an isometric view reminiscent of many 2000s handheld classics. Pixel art and retro styling create a genuine Game Boy Advance atmosphere. The Legend of Zelda fans will feel immediately at home with the presentation. Exploration and dialogue drive the narrative forward throughout the experience.
The story follows Midori as she learns about wandering hotel guests. Her curiosity eventually uncovers the reason behind the shared dream. The town holds secrets waiting to be discovered by observant players. Every NPC adds depth to the mysterious narrative unfolding around you.

Language Barrier Consideration

The game currently lacks an English language version at launch. Players must either wait for a patch or understand Japanese. The text-heavy nature with extensive dialogue makes language important. English-speaking players should consider this before downloading currently.
Despite the language barrier, early reviews remain universally positive. The 100 percent rating suggests the experience transcends language for some. Sixteen players have recommended the game without reservation so far. The demo offers a chance to see if the visuals carry the experience.
