According to the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan, 3,444 new companies registered in February. This steady rise highlights growing business momentum.
After these registrations, the total number of companies reached 287,049. Therefore, the corporate sector is expanding at a healthy pace.
Officials believe this trend reflects a more supportive business environment. Moreover, regulatory improvements continue to encourage entrepreneurship.
Foreign investors also participated in the new registrations. In fact, 82 companies included international partners. Investors from China and the United States were especially active. Their involvement signals rising global trust in Pakistan’s market. Most investors focused on minerals, trade, and information technology. For example, Pakistan’s natural resources attract mining companies. Meanwhile, the growing digital sector appeals to global tech firms.
Major Global Companies Enter Pakistan
Government officials say international companies are exploring new opportunities. According to economic adviser Khurram Shehzad, several global firms have already entered the market. Over the past 15 months, 19 companies started investment plans. These include major brands such as BYD, Google, and Saudi Aramco. Their presence reflects rising interest in Pakistan’s economy. Government initiatives also support this growth. The Special Investment Facilitation Council has introduced policies to attract investors. These measures simplify approvals and reduce delays. As a result, businesses can launch operations faster.
