Pakistan Hajj Flight Schedule Delayed Amid Regional Tensions
Pakistan’s Ministry of Religious Affairs has paused preparations for the Hajj flight schedule due to rising regional tensions. Officials fear the situation could affect air travel if conflict escalates in the region. However, authorities continue other Hajj preparations while closely monitoring developments.
Sources from the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony said officials took the step as tensions rise over possible attacks on Iran by the United States and Israel.
Despite the pause in the Hajj flight schedule, visa processing for pilgrims continues without interruption. Authorities have already issued visas to nearly two-thirds of the intending pilgrims.
Visa Processing Continues for Pilgrims
Officials say the visa issuance process remains active around the clock. Staff members even worked through the weekend to speed up the process. The ministry is processing visas for around 120,000 pilgrims this year. To keep work moving smoothly, officials temporarily suspended weekly holidays for staff. As a result, thousands of pilgrims have already received their travel documents.Authorities say this effort will help prevent delays once the Hajj flight schedule becomes final.
Schedule and Training Plans
Meanwhile, officials continue work on other preparations. They expect to release the full Hajj flight schedule before Eid celebrations. Once ready, the schedule will include complete travel details. For example, pilgrims will see information about flights, accommodation, building bookings, and room allocations.
The ministry will publish these updates on its official website and the Pak Hajj App. Pilgrims can check their details online or through the mobile platform. In addition, authorities have planned the next stage of pilgrim training. The second training phase will begin immediately after Eid.
Officials say training materials and schedules are already prepared. Therefore, pilgrims will receive guidance on travel, rituals, and arrangements before departure.
