Eid Advance Salary 2026: KP and Punjab Announce Early Payments for Employees
The governments of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Punjab have announced an Eid advance salary for government employees and pensioners. Authorities will release March salaries and pensions earlier than usual. Officials say the move will help families prepare for Eid ul-Fitr celebrations.
According to officials, employees will receive their payments on March 16 instead of April 1. This step aims to support civil servants and retirees as they plan their Eid expenses. The decision is expected to provide timely financial relief for thousands of households across both provinces.
KP Announces Early Salary and Pension Payments
The Finance Department of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa issued an official notification confirming the Eid advance salary decision. Under the new schedule, government workers will receive their full March salaries on March 16. In addition, pensioners will also receive their monthly pensions on the same date. Officials say the early payments will help retirees manage their expenses before Eid.
Authorities explained that the step supports public servants who need extra funds for holiday preparations. Therefore, employees and pensioners can complete their shopping and financial planning in advance. The department expects the early release to ease financial pressure during the festive season.
Punjab Government Confirms Similar Decision
Meanwhile, the government of Punjab has also approved an Eid advance salary for its employees. The provincial Finance Department confirmed that Muslim government workers will receive March salaries on March 16, 2026. Pensions will also be paid on the same day to support retired government officials. As a result, both serving employees and pensioners will receive funds ahead of Eid.
Officials said the decision follows approval from the provincial governor. Authorities issued the order under the relevant rules of the Punjab Financial Rules, Volume I. Overall, the early payments aim to ensure financial comfort for public servants and pensioners before Eid celebrations begin.
