Riot Games reveals Miks, the newest Controller agent joining VALORANT as part of Season 2026 // Act 2 launching March 18. VALORANT Miks hails from Croatia and channels pure sound energy with his sonic powers. His infectious passion rallies his squad to move as one on the battlefield. The introductory film features Zedd’s iconic “Clarity” rearranged by DJ and producer BUNT. BUNT shares that making music for VALORANT is a real honor. The remix amplifies the spirit Miks brings to the game according to Riot’s music supervisor. The new act also introduces the Blackthorn Collection and a fresh Battlepass. Items include the Soulburst Bandit, Dragon Gate Phantom, and Flick of the Wrist Card.
Miks Abilities Breakdown
Harmonize lets Miks target an ally and activate a Combat Stim that refreshes with kills. Alt-fire grants the Combat Stim to himself when needed. M-pulse toggles between Concuss and Healing outputs when thrown. The device sends out sound waves affecting players in the area.
Waveform works differently on PC and console for optimal control. PC users equip a Map Targeter with fire to set locations and alt-fire for smokes. Console players use alt-fire to set locations and fire to spawn smokes. Bassquake builds up and unleashes Sonic Radiance forward, knocking back and slowing players.
Season Launch Details
The new agent launches across PC, Xbox Series, and PlayStation 5 consoles simultaneously. VALORANT remains free-to-play on all supported platforms. Xbox Game Pass members receive goodies when linking their accounts to Riot IDs. The Blackthorn Collection features intricately designed firearms with dark metallic accents. Red detailing and thorn-like features characterize the weapon skins against dark backgrounds.
