Fakhar Zaman Fifty Leads Qalandars Win in PSL Opener

Lahore Qalandars started strong in PSL 11. Fakhar Zaman fifty set the tone early. The team posted 199 for six. As a result, they beat Hyderabad Kingsmen by 69 runs.

Qalandars Dominate PSL Opener

Fakhar played with confidence and control. He scored 53 from 39 balls. In addition, Mohammad Naeem added a quick 30. Together, they built a solid start in the powerplay.
However, the middle overs slowed slightly. Even then, the lower order changed the game. Haseebullah Khan scored an unbeaten 40. Meanwhile, Sikandar Raza smashed 24 from just 10 balls.
Shaheen Afridi finished the innings in style. He hit two big sixes in the final over. Therefore, Qalandars added 80 runs in the last six overs.

Kingsmen Struggle Under Pressure

Hyderabad Kingsmen began their chase with intent. However, early wickets hurt their progress. Shaheen dismissed Usman Khan quickly. Soon after, Ubaid Shah removed Saim Ayub.
The middle order failed to recover. Raza led the bowling attack well. For example, he took two key wickets, including the captain. Haris Rauf and Mustafizur Rahman kept things tight.
In addition, Ubaid impressed with two wickets. As a result, Kingsmen were bowled out for 130. Their fielding and bowling lacked discipline throughout the match.
Overall, Qalandars showed balance and power. Meanwhile, Kingsmen will need to regroup quickly. The Fakhar Zaman fifty remains the highlight of the match.
