Owners Push for Fan Return
Franchise leaders say fans bring life to the game. For example, Javed Afridi highlighted cricket’s role in uniting people. He stressed that supporters create energy and excitement. In addition, Salman Iqbal shared similar concerns. He noted that empty stands affect the overall experience. Therefore, he called for a safe return of spectators. Owners believe the league depends on public engagement. Without fans, the atmosphere feels incomplete. This concern continues to grow with each match.
Revised Plans and Challenges
The PCB adjusted the schedule to manage logistics. Matches in Multan, Peshawar, Faisalabad, and Rawalpindi were removed. The opening ceremony was also canceled. Despite these changes, the tournament began on March 26. Early games took place without any crowd . As a result, the usual excitement felt limited.
Naqvi explained that postponement was not possible. International commitments and tight schedules played a role. Therefore, officials focused on reducing travel and ensuring matches proceed.
