Pakistan US Iran Talks: Islamabad Offers to Host Peace Dialogue Amid Rising Conflict
Pakistan has stepped forward to support Pakistan US Iran talks as tensions rise in the Middle East. Ishaq Dar said Islamabad is ready to host peace discussions soon. He added that both sides trust Pakistan to help start meaningful dialogue.
Moreover, Dar stressed that diplomacy remains the best solution. He shared this after meeting regional leaders to push for calm. However, officials have not confirmed a clear timeline yet.
Pakistan Pushes for Diplomatic Solution
Pakistan continues to engage global leaders to reduce tensions. For example, officials remain in contact with the United States and Iran. As a result, Islamabad has positioned itself as an active mediator.
In addition, Pakistan maintains close ties with both countries. It also shares strong relations with Saudi Arabia. Shehbaz Sharif reaffirmed support for Riyadh during recent talks.
Meanwhile, Faisal bin Farhan met Pakistani leaders to discuss the crisis. Leaders from Turkey and Egypt, including Hakan Fidan and Badr Abdelatty, also joined the discussions.
Rising Tensions Challenge Peace Efforts
Despite these efforts, progress remains uncertain. Donald Trump has shown mixed signals on negotiations. At times, he supports talks, but he also signals possible military action.
Furthermore, Iran has rejected a ceasefire proposal shared through Pakistan. It continues to use the Strait of Hormuz as leverage. This action has already disrupted oil supplies and raised global prices.
As the conflict grows, risks also increase. For instance, Houthi forces have launched attacks, widening the crisis. Meanwhile, Pakistan’s army chief Asim Munir has strengthened ties with US leadership.
Therefore, Pakistan’s role as a mediator has become more important. Many hope these efforts will lead to peace soon.
