Nasa Releases First Moon Fly-By Photos from Artemis II
Nasa has released new photographs from the Artemis II mission. The astronauts took them during their fly-by of the Moon. These are the first images from that historic moment.
Stunning Views from Space
The first picture shows an “Earthset”. Our home planet peeks out beyond a cratered lunar landscape. The view is both beautiful and dramatic.
A Solar Eclipse from the Moon
The second photograph is equally spectacular. It shows a solar eclipse from a unique angle. The Moon blocks out the Sun completely. The astronauts received a stunning celestial treat.
Nasa did not say which astronaut took the pictures. The crew is now on their return journey to Earth. The fly-by is complete. More images may follow soon.
