Pakistan Seafood Exports Russia Approved Trade Expected to Hit $800M

Pakistan seafood Russia exports have received official approval. As a result, the country expects strong growth in trade. Officials believe exports could reach $800 million soon. This move marks a major step for Pakistan’s fisheries sector. It also creates new opportunities in global markets.

Approval Boosts Export Potential

Federal Minister for Maritime Affairs, Junaid Anwar Chaudhry, announced the breakthrough. He said Pakistani seafood can now enter the Russian market. Moreover, 16 local companies have received export approval. Therefore, the country can expand its seafood trade quickly.
Officials expect exports to cross $500 million annually. However, access to Russia could push this figure to $800 million.

Access to Wider Regional Markets

The Russian market offers more than just one destination. In addition, Pakistan may reach other countries in the Eurasian region.
For example, nations like Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, and Turkmenistan show strong demand. As a result, exporters can tap into a larger customer base. This expansion will support long term trade growth.

Strong Quality and Competitive Edge

The Marine Fisheries Department ensures global quality standards. Therefore, Pakistani seafood remains competitive worldwide.
Warm-water fish from Pakistan also offer a unique advantage. In addition, these products attract buyers due to their quality and taste.
Officials estimate initial earnings of $300 million from Russia alone. This growth will support the national economy.

Improved Trade Routes and Future Growth

Exporters will use sea, air, and land routes for delivery. However, land routes to Central Asia offer lower costs. Pakistani ports already play a key role in regional trade. As a result, logistics continue to improve. Better infrastructure and strict quality checks will drive future growth. Therefore, Pakistan seafood Russia exports could reshape the industry.
