Jaeger-LeCoultre Unveils Memovox Travel Clock by Marc Newson

Jaeger-LeCoultre unveils a new travel clock. The Memovox Travel Clock is designed by Marc Newson. It is a modern companion for global nomads.
The clock is compact and lightweight. It rests easily in the palm of your hand. Therefore, it is perfect for travelers.

A Rich Heritage of Travel Timepieces

Jaeger-LeCoultre has a long travel heritage. The brand created dual time and world time watches. It also made travel clocks with thermometers and barometers.
The Memovox alarm calibre launched in 1950. Its name means “voice of memory” in Latin. Initially, it helped businessmen remember appointments.
The Memovox complication soon appeared in travel clocks. It features a distinctive alarm sound. Therefore, it remains iconic today.

Function and Form in Perfect Harmony

Marc Newson brings a fresh eye to the Memovox. The clock is both practical and beautiful. Jaeger-LeCoultre developed technical innovations to realize his vision.
The clock uses a new manually wound movement. It is called Calibre 256. The movement was designed and produced entirely in-house.
Exceptional 12-Day Power Reserve
Calibre 256 offers an exceptionally long power reserve. It lasts 12 days for the timekeeping function. Two large barrels power the time.
A third barrel is dedicated to the alarm mechanism. Therefore, travelers do not need to rewind often. This eliminates a common concern.

Distinctive Dial and Color Palette

The dial plays on circles within circles. A power reserve indicator uses narrow apertures. Large Arabic numerals ensure easy reading.
When fully wound, all 12 indicators are orange. Each day, one indicator turns blue. Consequently, you can see the remaining power at a glance.
Jaeger-LeCoultre patented this new mechanism. It uses two intertwined helicoidal rings. The orange and blue palette adds a contemporary note.

Titanium Case and Leather Pouch

The clock is forged from titanium. It has a 69mm diameter and 18mm profile. A folding stand is integrated into the caseback.
The bezel hides a peripheral winding crown. An integrated selector button chooses the function. Therefore, winding and setting are intuitive.
Marc Newson collaborated with Schedoni for the pouch. The Italian leather workshop is family-run. The tan cowhide leather features contrasting beige stitching.

A Complete Travel Kit

The clock comes with a comprehensive travel pack. It also holds three wristwatches. A magnifying glass, strap tool, and screwdriver are included.
A dedicated display stand is also provided. It is ideal for use on a desk or bedside table. Therefore, the clock works both at home and on the road.
Production is limited to 100 pieces per year. In conclusion, this is a quintessentially modern timepiece for global nomads.
