Sara Cox to Host BBC Radio 2 Breakfast Show This Summer
Sara Cox is moving to a new role. She will host the BBC Radio 2 breakfast show. The change happens this summer. Cox currently presents the station’s teatime slot. She has fronted it since 2019.

The 51-year-old is originally from Bolton. In a statement, she said she was “ecstatic, honoured and incredibly chuffed”. Taking over the flagship show is a big moment for her.

“It’s been a dream to host the breakfast show since I joined Radio 2,” she said. “It feels like a bit of a full circle for me.”Cox reflected on her time on teatime. “I’ve had the most glorious seven years of my career,” she said. She thanked her “brilliant teatime listeners”. She hopes they will join her at breakfast.
