Zenless Zone Zero Version 2.8 New: Eridan Sunset Launches May 6
Publisher HoYoverse announces Zenless Zone Zero Version 2.8 “New: Eridan Sunset” launching May 6 across all platforms. Zenless Zone Zero Version 2.8 marks the finale of Season 2 for the free-to-play urban action RPG. Proxies pursue the illusive Ramiel who made herself known in Version 2.7. Promeia, the executioner of Krampus, appears as an intelligence contact forming a temporary alliance. The upgraded Starlight – Billy joins the Proxies and Cissia to uncover Ramiel’s true identity. As the investigation deepens, Proxies will encounter an unexpected twist bringing both risk and opportunity. This twist may transform into a new power that Proxies can harness in the future.
New Characters and Banners
Promeia leads the first half of the gacha pool as an S-Rank Ice Anomaly agent. She excels at triggering Abloom on enemies by consuming Trial by Cold. Her EX Special Attack activates the Bound Absolution state for automatic Perfect Dodge. Starlight – Billy appears in the second half as an S-Rank Physical Rupture agent. This fully upgraded form of Billy uses a combat motorcycle and his signature flying kick. He deals massive Physical burst damage based on his maximum Health. Lucia and Orphie make up the rerun banners alongside these new characters.
Steam Launch and Vinyl Soundtrack
Zenless Zone Zero will launch on Steam with full cross-save support across all platforms. Wishlisting is now live for the Steam version of the game. The Zenless Zone Zero original soundtrack vinyl sets become available for pre-order starting April 29. Laced Records will sell these beautifully crafted physical vinyl sets. The collection includes classic in-game tracks and character themes from the game. A redemption code “PROMEIA” is live on HoYoLab and in-game for 48 hours.
New Features and Events
Version 2.8 introduces an ethereal outfit for Hoshimi Miyabi called Dignified Blossom. A new Wind attribute enemy joins the battlefield with unique combat mechanics. The Vortex mechanic triggers when applying multiple Attribute Anomalies to certain enemies. The “Marcel Bootopia” event lets players control Eous to explore a Bangboo resort island. Completing events rewards Proxies with the Booltergeist Bangboo core. A new Polychrome Guide feature helps track limited-time rewards progress.
