Sindh Digital Transport Documents Mandatory by June 30, 2026
The Government of Sindh has announced that Sindh digital transport documents will become mandatory by June 30, 2026. This step will replace all manual route permits and vehicle fitness certificates. As a result, transporters and vehicle owners must shift to online systems.
Officials say the move will modernize the transport sector across the province. In addition, it will increase transparency and reduce fraud linked to paper records. Authorities have urged everyone to begin registration without delay.
Transition to a Fully Digital System
The transport department has directed all offices to complete the process before the deadline. Field teams must process at least 1,000 entries daily. Therefore, departments are working at a faster pace to meet targets.
Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon has stressed strict compliance with the new policy. He warned that authorities will treat all manual documents as invalid after June 30. This rule will apply to both route permits and fitness certificates.
Moreover, officials will issue secure and verifiable online documents. These records will help prevent tampering and errors. As a result, authorities will manage vehicle data more efficiently.
New Compliance Rules for Transporters
Transporters and vehicle owners must register their details through the digital system. Without valid documents, they will not be allowed to operate. Therefore, early registration is essential to avoid disruptions.
The minister has also announced strict legal action against violators. Authorities will act against vehicles operating without digital records. This step aims to ensure full compliance across Sindh.
In addition, the new system will reduce the need for repeated office visits. People can access and verify documents online with ease. Overall, the reform promises a faster, safer, and more reliable transport system for everyone.
