Pakistan Hajj Refunds: Ministry Returns Millions to Pilgrims
Pakistan Hajj Refunds have provided relief to many pilgrims this year. The Ministry of Religious Affairs recovered 65,665 Saudi Riyals from private Hajj operators. Officials returned the money to pilgrims after confirming complaints about poor services and broken agreements.
The ministry acted quickly after several pilgrims reported accommodation and transport issues. Authorities also warned Hajj Group Organizers to follow signed contracts carefully. Otherwise, companies could face heavy fines and permanent blacklisting. In addition, officials promised stricter monitoring during the Hajj season to protect pilgrims and improve service quality.
Ministry Expands Hajj Monitoring System
The Private Hajj Monitoring Cell continues to supervise services in Makkah and Madinah. Coordinator Muhammad Bakhsh Sangi said 18,997 pilgrims have arrived under the private Hajj scheme so far. Meanwhile, 12 monitoring teams now work day and night in both holy cities.
The teams completed detailed 26-point digital evaluations for more than 2,300 pilgrims. As a result, officials can quickly identify service problems and respond faster. Moreover, the ministry introduced digital complaint tools through the Pak Hajj App.
Pilgrims can now report issues in real time without delays. Therefore, authorities believe the new system improves transparency and accountability. Officials also expect the process to create a smoother spiritual experience for everyone.
Strict Action Against Private Operators
Deputy Coordinator Zarghan Shahzad said the government distributed the Hajj quota among 902 registered Hajj Group Organizers. Each operator must provide quality accommodation near the Holy Mosques in Makkah and Madinah.
So far, authorities have inspected 293 groups for service compliance. In one case, officials imposed a heavy fine on a group in Madinah for poor performance. Furthermore, several companies received warning notices after inspections.
The ministry says pilgrim welfare remains its highest priority. Officials also stressed that operators must meet all promised standards. As a result, authorities hope to ensure safe, comfortable, and respectful arrangements for every pilgrim.
