AJK Assembly Lauds Pakistan-Saudi Arabia Defense Pact Lawmakers Term Agreement a Milestone for Regional Security and Bilateral Ties

Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif will lead Pakistan’s delegation to the high-level segment of the 80th Session of the United Nations General aThe Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) Legislative Assembly on Sunday welcomed the recent defense agreement signed between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia, terming it a historic achievement in bilateral relations. In a session presided over by Speaker Chaudhry Latif Akbar, the House unanimously adopted a resolution praising the accord, describing it as a vital step toward enhancing cooperation between the two nations. Lawmakers emphasized that the agreement represents a strategic breakthrough, underscoring the brotherly ties, shared values, and longstanding trust between Islamabad and Riyadh. They further noted that the pact carries significant symbolic and practical importance, as it highlights the two countries’ commitment to deepening defense and security collaboration. The agreement is seen as a timely development in light of regional challenges, reflecting Pakistan and Saudi Arabia’s shared determination to safeguard mutual interests while contributing to peace, security, and stability in the broader region.
