Mob Entertainment has confirmed that Poppy Playtime: Chapter 5 – Broken Things will launch on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation, and Xbox consoles on May 27, 2026. The latest chapter in the hit horror franchise first launched on PC via Steam earlier this year and now brings its terrifying factory nightmare to console players worldwide.

Poppy Playtime Chapter 5 Expands The Horror

In Poppy Playtime: Chapter 5 – Broken Things, players return to the dark halls of Playtime Co. to uncover disturbing secrets hidden deep within the factory. The story focuses on the horrifying puppetmaster behind the company’s twisted past while introducing dangerous new enemies, puzzles, and environments.
Players must survive brutal encounters while solving environmental puzzles using upgraded GrabPack tools and abilities. Huggy Wuggy also returns as a relentless threat during several intense chase sequences throughout the game.

New Factory Areas And Characters Revealed

The new chapter introduces a terrifying hidden section of the Playtime Co. factory located within The Prototype’s domain. Players will encounter mysterious characters who may either help or betray them during their journey.
Mob Entertainment stated that Chapter 5 pushed the team creatively through stronger atmosphere, storytelling, and survival horror mechanics. The studio believes the new chapter delivers the franchise’s most ambitious experience yet for longtime fans and newcomers alike.

Poppy Playtime Continues Massive Growth

Since launching in 2021, the Poppy Playtime franchise has surpassed 50 million players worldwide. The horror series has also expanded beyond gaming through merchandise, collaborations, and an upcoming film adaptation.
Each new chapter continues to increase the franchise’s popularity across streaming platforms and online communities. Mob Entertainment now considers Poppy Playtime one of the biggest indie horror franchises in modern gaming.
