Snowprint Studios and Games Workshop have announced a major crossover event for Warhammer 40,000: Tacticus during the Warhammer SKULLS showcase. The free-to-play tactics game will introduce content inspired by the legendary Dawn of War series alongside several new gameplay additions.
Cyrus Joins Warhammer 40,000: Tacticus
The crossover brings fan-favorite Blood Ravens character Cyrus into Warhammer 40,000: Tacticus. Known for his stealth tactics and battlefield traps in Dawn of War, Cyrus joins the roster with abilities focused on ranged support and tactical control.
Cyrus can deploy deadly Haywire Mines that deal heavy damage to mechanical enemies. His active ability, Strike from the Shadows, marks high-priority targets and boosts ranged damage dealt by allied units.
New Campaign Events And Bosses Arrive
The update also introduces a new campaign event featuring the Necrons battling the Dark Angels. Players will face Lion El’Jonson as the final boss during the event, which launches on May 28.
Later in June, Lion El’Jonson will also appear as a Guild Raid Boss with devastating battlefield abilities. The update also adds Thothmek, a powerful Chronomancer who manipulates time to defend Necron allies.
More Updates Planned For Tacticus
Snowprint Studios confirmed that more updates and crossover content will continue throughout May and June. The developers aim to expand Warhammer 40,000: Tacticus with larger events and stronger community-focused gameplay updates.
Players can expect additional seasonal events, balance changes, and new units in future patches. The studio also plans to support the game with more crossover collaborations moving forward.
