SHADE Protocol Kickstarter Campaign Goes Live

Developer Little Legendary has officially launched the SHADE Protocol Kickstarter campaign, giving fans a chance to support the upcoming 2D action-platforming Metroidvania while unlocking a variety of exclusive rewards. The crowdfunding effort aims to expand the game’s scope through additional content, console versions, enhanced localization, and new music contributions from acclaimed vocalist Emi Evans.

SHADE Protocol Kickstarter Expands Development Goals

Little Legendary explained that community involvement has always been central to the project. The studio views crowdfunding as a way to keep player feedback and fan expectations at the forefront while securing additional resources needed to create a larger and more polished experience.
As funding increases, the team plans to invest directly into expanded content, additional boss encounters, improved animations, enhanced localization, new areas, extra music, and community-focused rewards. These stretch goals are intended to strengthen the game rather than determine whether development continues.

SHADE Protocol Teams Up With CrossCode

The announcement follows a recent collaboration reveal involving Radical Fish Games. SHADE Protocol will feature crossover content connected to both CrossCode and Alabaster Dawn, bringing together three notable indie projects.
Little Legendary described the partnership as a dream collaboration, citing the creativity and distinctive design philosophy behind Radical Fish Games’ titles. More information about the crossover content is expected to be revealed in the coming weeks.
SHADE Protocol is currently planned for PC via Steam, with potential console releases depending on the success of the Kickstarter campaign and future development goals.
