BoP Junior Tennis Champions Shine at National Championship 2026

The BoP Junior Tennis Champions delivered impressive performances as the National Championship 2026 concluded in Lahore. Young players showcased their skills at the Sports Board Punjab Tennis Academy in Nishtar Park Sports Complex. Several rising stars claimed titles across different categories. As a result, the event highlighted the growing strength of junior tennis in Pakistan.

Standout Winners Impress in Lahore

Hajra Sohail emerged as one of the tournament’s biggest stars. She secured the girls U-18 title with a straight-set victory over Bismel Zia. Later, Hajra added another trophy to her collection. She defeated Khadija Khalil to capture the girls U-14 crown. In the boys U-18 final, M. Yahya produced a confident display. He beat Hamza Ali Rizwan 6-3, 6-1 to win the championship. Meanwhile, Shayan Afridi impressed in the boys U-14 category. The Peshawar player defeated M. Muaz in a dominant final. M. Aayan also enjoyed a memorable tournament. He claimed the boys U-12 singles title after overcoming M. Faizan.

Young Talent Continues to Rise

Aayan added another success in doubles competition. He partnered M. Muaz to secure the boys U-14 doubles title. Elsewhere, Shahnoor Umer won the girls U-12 championship. She defeated Eman Shahbaz in a competitive three-set contest. The boys U-12 doubles title went to Salaar Khan and M. Faizan. They earned a convincing victory in the final. Mustafa Zia claimed the boys and girls U-10 title. He produced a commanding performance against Wali Abdullah. Director General Sports Punjab Muhammad Tariq Qureshi attended the closing ceremony. He distributed prizes and praised the young athletes. BoP Chief Internal Auditor Syed Rehan joined the event as guest of honour. Both officials emphasized support for grassroots sports development. PLTA Senior Executive Vice President Rashid Malik thanked the tournament sponsors and organizers. He also praised government officials for helping deliver a successful championship.
