Digimon Story Time Stranger Launches on Nintendo Switch and Switch 2

Bandai Namco Entertainment and developer h.a.n.d., Inc. have officially launched Digimon Story Time Stranger on Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2. Following its earlier release on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S, the turn-based RPG now reaches Nintendo players with enhanced performance options, multiple digital editions, and a Season Pass packed with post-launch content. Whether you’re a longtime Digimon fan or new to the franchise, the game offers an accessible RPG adventure filled with strategic battles, memorable characters, and powerful Digimon companions.

Brings a New RPG Adventure

In Digimon Story Time Stranger, players join ADAMAS as agents caught in a catastrophic event that threatens both the human world and the Digital World. To prevent disaster, players must recruit, train, and evolve Digimon while building strong bonds with their partners throughout the journey. Every battle uses a strategic turn-based combat system that rewards careful planning and smart team building. Furthermore, players travel across different worlds and even through time, creating an epic adventure filled with mysteries, powerful enemies, and emotional moments. As the story unfolds, players unlock stronger Digimon and new abilities to overcome increasingly difficult challenges.

Nintendo Switch 2 Adds Performance Options and DLC

The Nintendo Switch 2 version of Digimon Story Time Stranger gives players two graphics settings. Quality Mode delivers up to 4K HDR at 30 FPS while docked and Full HD at up to 30 FPS in handheld mode. Meanwhile, Performance Mode targets Full HD at up to 60 FPS in both docked and handheld play for smoother gameplay. In addition, players can purchase the Season Pass, which includes the Golden Moai Digifarm decoration and three upcoming DLC packs. DLC Pack 1: Alternate Dimension launches on July 16, followed by GAKU-RAN on July 23 and Anti-ParadoX on July 30. Each expansion adds five new Digimon and an additional story episode, giving players even more content after launch.

Choose From Three Digital Editions

Players can choose between three digital editions of Digimon Story Time Stranger. The Standard Edition includes the base game, exclusive school uniforms, Adventure Items, and Black Agumon and Black Gabumon. Meanwhile, the Digital Deluxe Edition adds Cyber Sleuth costumes and the Season Pass. For players seeking the complete experience, the Digital Ultimate Edition includes everything from the Deluxe Edition alongside additional costume packs, side missions, early Digimon unlocks, Public Safety Suit costumes, a Special Supplies Set, and the Cyber Sleuth background music pack. With multiple editions available, players can choose the version that best suits their adventure.
