Mansehra Tourist Crash Kills Four After Vehicle Plunges into Ravine
At least four people died and one person was injured in a Mansehra tourist crash on Sunday after a vehicle plunged into a deep ravine in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP). The tourists were traveling from Sialkot to the northern region when the accident happened near Dum Narian, close to Kiwai village in Mansehra district. Rescue 1122 rushed to the scene and started an emergency operation. The team provided first aid to the injured passenger before shifting him to Tehsil Headquarters (THQ) Hospital Balakot. Officials also moved the bodies of the victims to the hospital to complete legal formalities.
Rescue teams respond quickly
Rescue 1122 identified the injured passenger as Taimur, son of Khurram. The deceased included Tanveer, son of Sahir, Junaid, son of Sohail, and two women. However, officials did not confirm the exact cause of the accident. Authorities are expected to investigate the incident.
The crash occurred in the mountainous area of Dum Narian near Kiwai village. This route attracts thousands of visitors because of its scenic beauty. However, the road has sharp bends, steep slopes, and deep ravines. Drivers must stay alert throughout the journey. Even a small mistake can lead to a serious accident on these narrow roads.
