2027 Pilgrimage Quota Opens Hajj Access for POC Holders

Pakistan has secured a new 2027 pilgrimage quota arrangement for overseas Pakistanis. Saudi Arabia has approved their inclusion in Pakistan’s Hajj allocation.

The decision allows eligible POC holders to perform Hajj under Pakistan’s quota for the first time. They can choose government or private Hajj schemes.

One percent share for POC holdersUnder the new arrangement, one percent of Pakistan’s total Hajj allocation will go to eligible POC holders. This equals 1,792 places for the 2027 pilgrimage.The facility targets foreign nationals of Pakistani origin who once held Pakistani citizenship. They later surrendered their Pakistani nationality and passport.However, applicants must meet Saudi visa requirements. Their participation will also depend on legal or administrative restrictions. Therefore, approval of a POC does not guarantee a Saudi visa.

The Ministry of Religious Affairs will announce full details through its official website. These details will cover eligibility, applications, documentation, and other requirements. Authorities will publish the application procedure after confirming all Saudi requirements and related administrative arrangements.

Applications and eligibility

Applicants must follow rules set by Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Hajj and Umrah.In addition, authorities plan to create awareness among eligible applicants.POC holders can apply through either the government scheme or approved private operators.The new arrangement gives former Pakistani citizens a fresh opportunity to perform Hajj. It also expands access to Pakistan’s pilgrimage quota.Officials have not yet announced the complete application schedule or final terms. Therefore, eligible applicants should wait for the ministry’s official announcement before making travel arrangements.

Once the ministry publishes the rules, applicants can review the process carefully. They should also check Saudi visa conditions and prepare documents early.
