Asim Munir Hosts Independence Day Reception for Army Veterans

Chief of Defence Forces and Chief of Army Staff Field Marshal Asim Munir hosted an Army veterans reception on Independence Day. The military’s media wing said many retired officers and soldiers attended the event.

Field Marshal Munir praised the veterans for their lifelong service to Pakistan. He also recognised their contributions to national defence and resilience.

Army honours veterans’ services

According to ISPR, the army chief highlighted the value of veterans’ experience and guidance. He said their continued engagement remains an important institutional asset.

He also stressed the changing nature of the security environment. Therefore, veterans can help the armed forces understand and address emerging challenges.

The veterans expressed confidence in the Pakistan Army leadership. They also reaffirmed their support for the armed forces.

In addition, they pledged to contribute to national unity, peace and stability. They also promised to support efforts for Pakistan’s prosperity.The reception formed part of Independence Day activities. It also reflected the military’s recognition of retired personnel and their continued role in national affairs.

Armed Forces urge national unity

Field Marshal Munir, Naval Chief Admiral Naveed Ashraf and Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu congratulated the nation. They issued their message on Pakistan’s Independence Day.The Armed Forces paid tribute to Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah and the country’s founding figures. They also honoured the sacrifices that helped create Pakistan.ISPR praised the nation’s martyrs, veterans and law enforcement personnel. It also recognised citizens who have served the country in different ways.

The Armed Forces reaffirmed their commitment to defending Pakistan’s sovereignty and territorial integrity. They also pledged to uphold the Constitution and protect national interests.The statement stressed that Pakistan’s strength comes from unity and collective resolve. It urged citizens to promote tolerance and national cohesion.The Armed Forces called for renewed commitment to Faith, Unity and Discipline. They also encouraged citizens to work together for a secure, stable and prosperous Pakistan.
