Private Hajj Operators Face 3-Day Deadline for 2027 Packages

Private Hajj Operators Face 3-Day Deadline for 2027 Packages

Private Hajj operators face a Hajj operators deadline to activate their 2027 packages. The Ministry of Religious Affairs has given companies three days to act.

The ministry set August 31 as the final date for package activation. Operators must complete the process through the Hajj Management System.

Ministry warns private Hajj companies

Ministry sources said companies could lose inactive quotas after the deadline. Officials may then distribute those seats among other registered Hajj operators. In addition, the ministry could move some unused seats to the government Hajj scheme. Therefore, companies face growing pressure to complete their package activation.

The private scheme has recorded very few bookings so far. Only 54 pilgrims booked seats during the first five days. The private scheme has 71,684 seats under the current allocation. As a result, around 99.9 percent of the available quota remains unused. The ministry has already contacted registered Hajj companies. It asked them to activate every package category within their allocated quota.

Pilgrims to get wider package choice

For the first time, pilgrims will also select private Hajj packages through the ministry’s website. This change aims to give applicants greater access to package information.Meanwhile, the ministry started collecting payments for the private scheme on August 23. Operators must now prepare their packages as the booking period moves forward. The private scheme covers 40 percent of Pakistan’s Hajj quota. Payment collection currently covers 71,684 seats under this arrangement.

However, the low booking figure has raised concerns about unused capacity. Operators must therefore act quickly to avoid losing their allocated seats. The ministry’s latest warning puts the responsibility on registered companies. They must complete package activation within the specified period.

Applicants can also benefit from the new online selection option. This system will allow pilgrims to review available private packages directly.Officials may take further action if companies fail to meet the deadline. The ministry has made clear that inactive quotas could face redistribution.
