Free Medical Camp Supports 120 Girls in Islamabad
A free medical camp at Hamara Ghar Welfare Trust in Shah Allah Ditta provided 120 girls and children with free consultations, medicines and healthcare guidance.
The Royal Thai Embassy Islamabad organised the camp with Maroof International Hospital (MIH). Medical teams offered services in eye care, paediatrics, general medicine, dental care, nutrition and mental health. They also provided early intervention support for children with speech delays and developmental needs.
The camp gave children access to several services in one place. It also encouraged families and caregivers to seek timely advice for health, nutrition and development when needed.
Healthcare Support for Children
Rongvudhi Virabutr, Ambassador of Thailand to Pakistan, welcomed the chance to serve the community. He praised Hamara Ghar for caring for children who have lost their parents and called them “little angels”.
The ambassador said compassion becomes meaningful when it reaches people who need it most. He added that healthcare also means sharing care, dignity and hope. In addition, he stressed that teamwork can help improve community wellbeing.
The ambassador also presented gifts to the children.
Building Brighter Futures
MIH Chairman Ch Naseer Ahmed reaffirmed the hospital’s support for Hamara Ghar children. He said the hospital wants to help beyond medical treatment by creating professional development opportunities.
He noted that healthcare should give people confidence and opportunities for a better future.
Tariq Mehmood Satti, CEO of Hamara Ghar Welfare Trust, said the organisation began in 2005 after the devastating earthquake.
A Lasting Community Mission
Today, Hamara Ghar provides a safe home to about 500 girls. Their ages range from three years to university level. The organisation supports them with shelter, education, healthcare and opportunities to shape their futures.
The medical camp also marked the birth anniversary of the late Queen Sirikit of Thailand and Thailand’s National Mother’s Day. The event highlighted the value of compassion, cooperation and long-term community support.
