Pakistan Labels India a ‘Regional Bully’ at UNGA
Islamabad

B00102

Pakistan strongly criticized India at the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA). Officials called India a “regional bully” and condemned attempts to distort Islamabad’s name.

Pakistan’s envoy said India used hostile rhetoric to damage Pakistan’s credibility.
The envoy argued that India tried to distract from its internal and regional issues. Islamabad said India’s misrepresentations misled the world and violated diplomatic norms.

Officials warned these tactics threatened regional stability and weakened global trust.
Pakistan also raised concerns about human rights in Kashmir. The envoy urged the international community to notice India’s actions. He said India’s behavior contradicted its democratic image. Pakistan insisted no propaganda could hide the suffering of people under occupation.
Islamabad reaffirmed its commitment to peace and cooperation in South Asia. The envoy stressed that Pakistan would answer deliberate provocations. He added that disputes must be solved through dialogue, not aggression or defamation.
Observers noted that such sharp exchanges at UNGA occur often. This year’s remarks showed deep tensions between the two neighbors. Analysts said relations remain strained on Kashmir and cross-border security.
Pakistan closed its statement by urging the United Nations to uphold fairness and justice. The envoy asked institutions to reject political point-scoring. He said they should focus on peace, security, and mutual respect among member states.
