Karachi Weather Sees Cool Mornings and Hot Afternoons Amid Dusty Winds

Karachi residents are witnessing striking weather contrasts this week. Cool mornings give way to scorching afternoons, creating discomfort for many. The latest Karachi weather update from the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) shows sharp temperature swings across the city.

Temperature Swings Challenge Daily Routine

Meteorologists said mornings and evenings have turned cooler as minimum temperatures dropped to around 22°C. The change marks a slight decrease from recent days. However, hot and dry winds continue to push daytime temperatures higher. Experts expect the mercury to climb up to 36°C in the next few days.
The PMD also warned that gusty, dust-laden winds will affect Karachi and nearby areas from time to time. These winds could reduce visibility and add to discomfort, especially during peak hours.

Health and Safety Precautions

Officials have advised citizens to stay hydrated during the day and wear warm clothes in the early hours. They urged people to avoid prolonged outdoor activities during midday heat. In addition, doctors recommend drinking plenty of water and using sun protection when stepping outside.
Meteorologists expect the pattern of cool mornings and hot afternoons to continue for several more days. They said stronger sea breezes will likely return soon, which may help balance the city’s climate. Until then, Karachi’s weather will remain unpredictable and challenging for commuters and outdoor workers alike.
Despite the fluctuating conditions, many residents welcome the cool mornings as a refreshing break before the daytime heat returns.
