Telecom services across the country are nearing full recovery after the recent floods that disrupted connectivity in multiple regions. According to the latest update from the national telecom authority, 95% of all flood-affected mobile and internet sites have now been restored.
The heavy rains and flooding had caused widespread outages, leaving many communities cut off from essential services. In response, telecom operators mobilized emergency teams and backup power solutions to restore networks as quickly as possible. Restoration work included repairing damaged fiber-optic cables, fixing transmission towers, and deploying mobile base stations in severely hit areas.
Officials confirmed that while most urban centers have seen near-complete recovery, efforts are still ongoing in a few remote and hard-to-access regions where infrastructure was heavily damaged. Power shortages and road blockages continue to slow down the process, but operators have assured that full restoration is expected soon.
Authorities praised the resilience and rapid response of telecom teams, emphasizing that restoring connectivity is critical not only for communication but also for emergency relief operations, banking services, and disaster management coordination.
With 95% of the network back online, citizens are gradually regaining access to mobile and internet services, providing much-needed relief in the aftermath of one of the worst flood seasons in recent years.
