Adnan Siddiqui, the host of ARY Digital’s hit reality show Tamasha, has addressed ongoing comparisons with India’s Bigg Boss. He shared his thoughts during an appearance on Nida Yasir’s Good Morning Pakistan.
The actor revealed how he landed the hosting gig. “I grabbed the opportunity when it was offered to me. I was in London for a fundraiser when I got the call,” Siddiqui recalled. He admitted his first thought was that people would compare Tamasha with Bigg Boss. However, the makers assured him the Pakistani show would have its own identity.
Tamasha’s Rise as a Reality Hit
Since its launch in 2022, Tamasha has grown into one of Pakistan’s biggest reality productions. Now in its fourth season, the show continues to receive positive public feedback. Siddiqui believes the unique flavor of the show has helped it stand apart despite similarities.
“There is no real comparison,” he explained. “Bigg Boss is a mega show with its own identity. They’ve been running it for 19 years, while we are now wrapping our fourth season.”
He also pointed out that the reality format exists globally under different names. “Some call it Big Brother, some call it Bigg Boss, and we call it Tamasha,” he said.
As a result, Siddiqui feels confident the Pakistani version will continue to build its own legacy. Fans, too, have embraced the show’s blend of drama, competition, and entertainment, making it a strong annual favorite on ARY Digital.
